Hi, I’m Lisa with The Southern Honey. Born and raised in east Tennessee. I’m a photographer by trade and a vintage soul. I love all things DIY, thrifting and modern farmhouse decor. Jesus, my husband and boys are my life. I’m always looking for a great excuse to plan a party.
Scotty and I met in 2002. We worked together at O’Charley’s, fell in love young and have been together ever since. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I’m one lucky girl. He treats me like a queen every single day. We’ve been married for almost 16 years. I couldn’t imagine doing life with anyone else.
My beautiful boys. I’m not sure how I’m lucky enough to be their mom. Cameron and Creed are our entire world. These two keep us on our toes and I’m so thankful they are so active. Football in our family is life. Creed also plays basketball and Cameron is a weight lifting junkie in the off season. They are both so funny and keep us laughing. They are also eating me out of a house and home. This picture isn’t the most up to date but with boys… you just take what you can get. It’s one of my favorites. Have I mentioned that I love fall… and this picture screams fall. I just love them so much and their kind heart.
Cameron is a freshman this year. He plays for the Elizabethton Cyclones, which is where I also went to high school. We bleed orange and black. He has played football since he was 5 years old. He has always been number 4 but this year, being the low man on the field, he was number 29. He did so well and we are always so proud of him. Did I mention that we won the State Championship…again!! That’s right.. the Cyclones are BACK TO BACK STATE CHAMPIONS!! We finished this year with our second undefeated season 30-0. They work so hard, and our entire town is so proud. Here he is with the gold ball and head coach, Witten. At the state championship in Cookeville, Tn. I’m that mom. I also consider myself the 12 man. I love cheering on my boys!! Always have… Always will. Rare family photo after the game. My sweet baby Creed. When I say this kid is one of a kind.. I mean it. He’s 9 going on 21. He has the biggest personality and a drive like no other. He is in constant strife for greatness. He wants to be the best at anything he does and puts in all the hours of practice to achieve that goal. Creed has also played football since he was 5, but has been sitting at football practices since he was about 4 days old. It’s a gift that comes so natural to him. He watches hours of film, of himself and others just trying to better day after day. He’s the quarterback for his Grass Cutter Cyclone Football Team. Scotty is also the head football coach and does such a good job with those boys. He loves it. Creed has really gotten into basketball this year. He was invited to play with a travel team and it’s been so good for him. Basketball doesn’t come as natural to him as football does and he gets aggravated sometimes. However, it’s great to see him work so hard and practice so much trying to become his best. He really takes advantage of all of his fouls. This was their first ring tournament. Last but not least… I can’t forget about my sweet baby girls. Kaely, our who knows how old, yorkie. Then that sweet Honey, our little bitty maltipoo who just turned 2.
