SUPER BOWL 2021

Super Bowl 2021 looks a little different this year… am I right? But, that doesn’t mean you can’t make it fabulous. I’m gonna share with you some tips on how to get your kids involved and keep them engaged during the big game.

FOOD..FOOD AND MORE FOOD!!

Keep your food simple. You don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen.. or at least I don’t. I’m all about grabbing some chips and dip, cheese and crackers and popping up some popcorn for these cute diy football bags… see below.

I air fry about everything I can get my hands on. Wings are always a staple at my house so I buy big frozen bags and pop them in the air fryer for about 15 @400 degrees. I also recommend air frying your hot dogs.. see the video for that here…

Keep it simple with some cheese, crackers and meet in the shape of a football.
Chips, Salsa and some weenies are always a great party food.
Grab and go snacks are great for grazing and any type of football party. To make these cute football bags, get a large pack of brown paper bags. Cut about an inch off the top and use any white paint and draw you a few laces. Kids love making these. Don’t forget desserts. These pudding cups are great. Add some white duck tape for laces and it really ups your game. To see how make the football pudding click here.. https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17869795361230530/?hl=en

WE CAN’T FORGET A FUN DRINK…

This drink is always a fan favorite. Use 1 bottle of Sprite and I can of Pineapple Juice and splash in a little Grenadine. I’ve added in some strawberries and Chick-fil-A ice to take it up a notch. You can add in any fruit you like. (for adult beverages… you can substitute the Sprite for Champagne)

NOW ON TO MY FAVORITE PART… DECORATIONS!!

Use what you have first. You will be surprised what you might have around the house. I dumped out my football bag.. added the poms our faithful cowbells and dug out trophies and medals from the boy’s rooms.

You probably have a letter board somewhere in your house by now.. or even a chalkboard. Add a cute saying and make it a focus on your table. Grab some football plates or even some plates the colors of the teams playing and add some pom poms.
I think this is a fun decorative touch. Get yellow napkins (which look like penalty flags) and some chalkboard stickers and customize an old glass jar.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST. GAME TIME

GAME TIME FOR THE BIG GAME

Super Bowl bingo is a fun way to keep kids.. and adults who don’t care about football, engaged in the activities. Get some candy, I recommend candy with the colors of the teams playing and use that as your bingo chips. For free printable Super Bowl Bingo cards click here.. https://www.playpartyplan.com/25-super-bowl-party-games/ once you print the ones you like, get the kids involved. I let mine add the paper to cardstock and they can color them if they want.

A BIG THANK YOU TO DAYTIME TRI-CITIES FOR FILMING ALL THINGS SUPER BOWL IN OUR HOME TODAY.

The kids were out of school today so it just turned out they were here.. So we threw a football jersey on them and let them help with the crafts. They did so well and had so much fun. Kids and live tv…. think about that for a minute and how nervous it might make you!! haha

To know Amy is to love her. She is such a sweetheart and so talented. She makes being filmed live seem so easy. I’m so thankful to call her my friend.

Another big thanks to my friend Kate for snagging some behind the scenes footage.
Good luck friends. I hope you enjoy your Super Bowl weekend with friends and family. Hopefully some of these tips will help you have a wonderful and easy party. Be safe and may the best team win. I always pray for no injuries and I can’t wait to watch the commercials. Does anyone else just love the commercials??? Oh… and halftime?
